A Masterpiece Designed By A Great Architect

In the very beginning of life, the sperm unites with the ovum to form one single cell, containing every potential necessary for the formation of this complex body of ours.

Cell division begins, and the single cell divides into two, then four, eight, sixteen, and continues until there is present a mass of cells individually grouped, each group being specialized. These individual groups of cells are the "buds" from which the body parts will eventually "bloom."

Later, each of the special groups or "buds" extends into a nerve "stalk," upon the end of which a body part will "bloom" and grow. The entire group of  "buds" is the brain, while all the stalks or nerves are the spinal cord. These are the very first recognizable parts of the human body, in embryo.

As the process of development continues, blood islands and vessels are formed to carry nutrition to and waste away from the various organs; other tissues begin their development; the nerves grow longer, the spinal vertebrae develop and surround the precious spinal cord in order to protect it; organs, glands, muscles, and bones continue formation, and in a symphony of simultaneous teamwork, all are laced together in the process by a vast network of both motor and sensory nerves.

These delicate nerves are in contact with the brain at all times, thus allowing the great innate wisdom within the brain to mold, build, and organize the multitude of cells that compose the body.

After approximately nine months work an estimated four hundred and fifty trillion specialized cells, all functioning in harmony, comprise the human body.  It is sent forth into this world by the miracle of birth, able to live, breathe and have its being.

The brain and spinal cord act much like a complex telephone switchboard. The Life Wisdom within the brain generates millions of messages (nerve impulses), and relays them over the proper "wires" or nerves sending these messages to the right tissues, organs, glands and muscles.

Only as the body parts receive proper "instructions" from the brain are they able to properly perform their duty. Every control center within the brain must be in normal contact with its respective organ or part by adequate nerve connection for optimum function and perfect health to exist.

At birth the baby is perfect chemically, but imperfect mechanically. Out of what the baby eats, drinks, and breathes, nature manufactures all the chemicals necessary for health and well-being.

At first the baby is hardly able to hold its head erect- much less stand, walk or run.  As the baby grows, and matures - it has falls and accidents, and mechanical parts get jolted out of their normal positions. Nerve interference is the result.

The body contains within it all essential ingredients for health, growth and self-repair.  From the moment of birth the body manufactures its own insulin, adrenalin, pepsin, hydrochloric acid; its enzymes, juices and secretions; its blood, sweat and tears; and does this merely out of the food you eat, the fluids you drink and the air you breathe.

When you cut your skin, the severed edges are healed from the inside with materials made by the body. If a bone is broken, union of the bone-ends is achieved with a knitting cementum manufactured inside the body. A rash or swelling on your hand gets well whether or not you have given the ailment a name. The body is obviously a self-healing mechanism capable of bringing about its own cure. If there is no interference with the body's manufacture of essential ingredients, diseases are cured without regard to what they have been diagnostically called or miscalled.

Chemicals of pharmaceutical manufacture (outside the body) endeavor to duplicate artificially what the body makes on the inside in natural form. Of course, these manufacturing processes inside the body must be directed. This is accomplished by the nerve system. The nerve system is the Master System. It directs the function of all subordinate systems such as the digestive, the circulatory, the glandular, the muscular and the eliminative systems. Even the blood would not flow in our arteries if not directed to do so by nerves.

Man is not only a chemical factory; he is also a machine. The body is also a mechanical structure.  It is a machine made up of hundreds of parts. These are moving parts. There are more than two hundred bones in the body. The spinal bones, because they are freely movable, are particularly vulnerable. Ask any engineer or mechanic about a machine with moving parts. He will tell you that no such machine can operate twenty four hours a day, month after month and year after year, without getting out of adjustment.

In our workday life we run, jump and fall, we heave and lug and tug and strain, we get jarred and jolted and bruised - all of which works the mechanical parts of the body out of adjustment. When out of adjustment, these parts block or irritate the nerves that must direct the body's natural operations. The organs and parts served by such nerves are deprived of normal control.  The deprived organs and parts get sick.

To restore true health, normal nerve function must be restored. The structural parts that have been strained or jolted out of position must be adjusted back into place. When this is done they no longer block or irritate nerves. The nerve system can again direct the normal processes of the body; and if damage has not gone too far the organs and parts can once more manufacture the ingredients for self-repair and health. No drugs or sera or vaccines can adjust a strained or jarred mechanical part of the body back to normal position.

You were born with a complete chemical factory.  From the first day of life your body has manufactured all the insulin and adrenalin and whatever else it needed for health. You were not born with complete mechanical equipment. At birth you were not even able to crawl, much less walk, balance, run, jump, heave, lug and strain. As you grew up, and adapted to the physical demands which life imposed on you, you got out of adjustment. Now you must be put back into adjustment.  Maladjusted parts disturb normal nerve function. Without normal nerve function the body cannot direct the manufacture of the ingredients essential for its growth, its self-repair and its health.
