Promoters Of Health---Not Fighters Of Disease
Humans have been studying humans, dead and
alive, sick and well, looking for the "cause
of disease" in an organized manner for more than five thousand
years. This mass of alive and dead education has
been systematized, card-indexed, and cross-filed into libraries of millions
of books. It has been spewed through colleges into millions of brains
through hundreds of thousands of professors. We are saying that health is a normal state of being and should be the birth right of all people if they will only observe the natural laws of life and health listed below. The Natural Laws of Life and Health
As chiropractors, we cannot over emphasize the importance of this first law. Every part of the body must receive a normal nerve supply to be healthy.
You cannot operate an automobile on 90
percent water and 10 percent gasoline. Neither can you expect maximum
efficiency from the human body while living on devitalized and toxic food -
stuffs. You must have fresh water to drink and pure air to breathe. You must
eliminate accumulated waste substances from the body regularly, as well as
maintain reasonable habits of cleanliness.
Movement is life ... stillness is death. Tone is the basis of health. You must exercise a sensible amount each day in order to function at peak efficiency.
You must balance daily activities with a time for necessary rest and recuperation. In this way nature is able to revitalize you for further activity and accomplishment.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "A man is what he thinks about all day long". It has been said, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he". Thinking negatively very often does make it so and we most certainly reap what we sow. The Chiropractors Real Job The chiropractor's job is not to heal, treat or cure anyone or anything - - That is nature's job. The chiropractor's purpose is to remove interference for the free and full expression of life force that animates the living body. The chiropractor does not adjust people to make them feel good. He adjusts them to relieve nerve interference so that nature can make them feel good. |
